THIS CARD FEATURES
I have two card ideas to share today, both created with the new Wisteria Stamp Set.

For my first card, I stamped the image with brown Lawn Fawn ink, then used the coordinating stencils to add color in two steps. I blended Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks.

For the centers, I added a little Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, and I filled in any tiny areas the stencils didn’t cover with a brown Ohuhu marker to finish the image. Then I cut everything out with the coordinating die.
For the background, I used the Tiny Flowers Backdrop Die, but instead of cutting the pattern, I dry embossed it into the cardstock. I love the subtle texture it adds without competing with the colorful flowers.

I attached the wisteria with foam adhesive and added a hot foiled sentiment. I used white foil on craft cardstock, so the sentiment still stands out, but not so much that it takes the attention away from the flowers.

For my second card, I heat embossed the stamped image with gold embossing powder. Instead of ink blending through the stencils, I used different shades of Ohuhu markers to create color transitions in both the leaves and the wisteria flowers. The gold embossing catches the light beautifully, while the changing shades add even more variation and dimension to the colors.

For the background, I went back to ink blending and added a colorful glow behind the flowers using Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, and Picked Raspberry.
For the sentiment, I used another hot foiled sentiment, this time with Satin Gold Foil, and attached everything to the card with foam squares.

What do you think of the Wisteria in these colorful combinations? I’m really loving how they turned out!

PHOTO TIP FOR CARDMAKERS
One little reminder for fellow cardmakers who photograph their projects: my photos don’t look finished straight out of the camera either. Let me show you what I mean. This is what they look like when I’m done with the photoshoot, before editing:

I edit these images, just like my other cardmaking photos, using my editing shortcut, Crafter’s Photo Filters. They’re made especially for us cardmakers to help our card photos pop quickly and save time on editing. For more information, visit the Crafter’s Photo Filters page.
BEFORE YOU GO...
Let’s stay crafty friends! You can find more cardmaking inspiration, behind-the-scenes peeks and photography tips for crafters on my Instagram and Facebook pages.
📸✨ I’m on a mission to help cardmakers and crafters feel more confident with photography, so their beautiful creations can shine online too.
