Papercrafters Unite Against Racism Hop

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here, today I am participating in a very special blog and Instagram hop, the Papercrafters Unite Against Racism Blog Hop! I am super excited that you are here and reading my post, because this message is really important!

The goal of this hop is to come together to stand behind our crafty sisters and brothers of colour not just in the art industry, but also to show our support in the never-ending fight for equality all over the world. Feel free to check Justine Hovey's blog for more information.

Today I created a simple, but for me a really cute friendship card, where these cute bunnies and bears from Mama Elephant Stamps are supporting each other. I started the cardmaking with Stamping and Masking. The used supplies you can find below the post.

I stamped the bunny image from the Mama Elephant - Fuzzy Hug Stamp Set with Dark Chocolate Hybrid Ink Pad in my MISTI. I created a mask with Masking Magic, and fussycut it. When it was done I stamped the hugging bears image as well and added heat set to my images. Next, I started the coloring with my Copic Markers. I created different skin tones for each critter. The used copic markers you can find on the following image. When the coloring was done, I added white highlights with Signo Uniball White Pen and fussycut the finished image.

The next step was the background. I made a gradient inkblending with Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Hickory Smoke and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxides. After the inkblending I splattered on in with blue and white watercolor and let it dry.

In the end I die-cut the Hugs sentiment by Heffy Doodle from white and pink cardstock as well as the Scalloped Rectangle Frames by Lawn Fawn and put my card together with 3D adhesives.

I hope you have enjoyed my post, now it's time to hop to your next stop to the talented Natasha Davies.
